As you will soon find out, the most remarkable aspect of the G.L.A.M. plan is that so much of it is unoriginal. The plan calls for using existing construction techniques, organizational structures, and funding mechanisms to build the system. 85% of the lines are on corridors the MTA and predecessor agencies have already studied or been proposed for rail service by current politicians.
